The Assessor is responsible for developing and maintaining a current list of all taxable real and tangible personal property in Gasconade County and assessing the property annually. Assessed valuation provides the tax base for property taxes levied by the County’s and its various political subdivisions. The Assessor's Office processes annual assessment forms for all tangible personal property to Gasconade County residents. The Assessor also performs tax mapping by maintaining and updating property lines based upon deeds received from the Gasconade County Recorder of Deeds.

          Personal property lists are due in the Assessor’s Office by March 1st of each year. Personal property is assessed at 33 1/3 %, except for farm machinery & livestock, which is assessed at 12 %. Real Estate property is as follows: Residential 19% of Market Value, Commercial 32 % of Market Value, Agriculture Land at 12% of Productivity Value & Buildings at 12% of Market Value.

         The Gasconade County Assessor’s office currently tracks and assesses over 14,000 parcels and classifies each parcel of real estate in compliance with the classifications defined under Missouri Statute. The Gasconade County Assessor's office strives to assess all property fairly, equally and in a uniform manner under the

laws of the State of Missouri, while providing the highest level of service to our taxpayers.
